The Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP), as part of the Dean's Office of the Kansas State University College of Engineering, was initiated in 1977 to increase the pool of interested and qualified students from historically under-represented groups pursuing engineering degrees and  to provide a foundational support system and programs that encourage students to find solutions to technical and social challenges.

Although we strive to attract students from historically under-represented groups, namely African American, Hispanic American, and Native American; our programs are open to all.
