Macintosh OS X Setup:

We have verified that OS X and the Apple AirPort Card works with our network. This card receives an excellent connection from most parts of first floor Fiedler and Rathbone.

  1. Open the Internet Connect application, located in the Applications folder.

  2. Choose AirPort from the Configuration drop down box.

  3. Click the Turn AirPort On button.
  4. Choose k-state.net from the Network drop down box.
  5. You will now be prompted for a "Password".
    Please note that the AirPort requires a $ (dollar sign) be added to the front of the encryption key.
  6. Type a $ (dollar sign), followed by the 40 bit encryption key (currently available only from on-campus computers) into the password box.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Your computer is now configured to connect to the KSU wireless network.
