Provides academic oversight and administers academic policies and procedures for undergraduate programs of the College of Engineering.
This includes providing guidance to faculty and students concerning proper interpretation of academic policies and procedures. Also approves all course validations, substitution of courses for degree requirements, and degree applications for students in the college.
As our Assistant Dean of Retention, Diversity, and Inclusion, Ms. Grauer provides administrative oversight for retention and diversity programs including Scholars Assisting Scholars (SAS), Women in Engineering (WiE), and Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP).
This includes development of programs and activities to encourage student academic success and inclusion within the College of Engineering community.
Provides support for students, department staff, and faculty advisors, and coordinates advising functions within the College of Engineering.
This includes training faculty advisors, advising General Engineering students, and assisting with New Student Orientation & Enrollment. Advising students involves counseling students concerning their personal, physical, and mental well-being, as well as discussing study skills and time management to help them successfully meet their academic and career goals.
Our office supports all engineering academic programs by providing information* and guidance to engineering students, faculty, staff, other K-State personnel, state and federal agencies, and the general public regarding academic records, policies, and procedures.
