Engineering Equipment Fee
An Engineering Equipment Fee was authorized by the Board of Regents commencing with enrollment in the fall semester 1991.
At that time, due to limitations in the assessment system, Kansas State University implemented a per semester fee for only engineering students.
Beginning fall semester 2001, in order to be consistent with other Regents' institutions, there is a change in the way the Engineering Equipment Fee is being assessed.
The new fee is based on enrollment in all engineering courses according to the following assessment plan.
The
Engineering Equipment Fee is assessed at
the rate of $14.00 per credit hour for all engineering courses.
The fee is assessed by course without regard to the student's curriculum.
For example, $14.00 per credit hour is assessed for all students enrolled in CIS 101, not just engineering students.
Students who paid the $85.00 per semester fee in spring semester 2001 will continue to pay $85.00 per semester, as long as they remain in an engineering curriculum and are continuously enrolled.
In addition, all Kansas State University students are assessed a $1.00 per credit hour technology fee by the university.
