Current and Pending Support

Many sponsors require some form of current and pending support information for the principal and co-principal investigator(s).

For example, the National Science Foundation’s Grant Proposal Guide states: “All current project support from whatever source (e.g., Federal, State, local or foreign government agencies, public or private foundations, industrial or other commercial organizations) must be listed. The proposed project and all other projects or activities requiring any portion of time of the PI and other senior personnel must be included, even if they receive no salary support from the project(s).”

Current and pending provides sponsors with much information and it is important the information is accurate. PreAward Services keeps this information in a database and updates the information as new proposals are submitted and awards are granted. It is important for research faculty to make sure PAS is notified if a proposal has been rejected so the database can be kept current.

EES can assist getting the information from PAS once the EPN form is received with participant names included. EES will route the PAS file to the research faculty to review for accuracy. Be sure to check the information and respond to EES quickly. If there are any discrepancies, contact PAS directly. Requests to PAS for current and pending information should be made well in advance as these forms can be somewhat time consuming if information is not up to date. PAS can provide this information in two formats. One is the general NSF format that is used by most federal agencies and the other is a detailed version that is sometimes required by other federal agencies.

Below are some current and pending forms that can be used for proposals that require this information: NOTE: Links open a new browser window.
