research centers, labs, and institutes at the Kansas State University
College of Engineering offer excellent preparation for promising careers
in engineering and construction and computer science, while also exemplifying
one of our core values- to serve society and provide leadership for
the betterment of humanity. One example is the Civil Infrastructures
Systems Laboratories, funded by the U.S. and Kansas departments of
transportation. The regional center, housed at K-State, is used for
accelerated testing of pavement and large-scale structural members
used in bridges. Left, CE assoc. professor, Robert Peterman.
