International Opportunities

  • IAESTE - KSU (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) IAESTE is a membership organization dedicated to developing global skills in tomorrow's technical leadersthrough international exchange, leadership training, global skill development, and technical education. It places engineering and science students in internship positions throughout the world. More information available at http://www.engg.ksu.edu/IAESTE/.
  • MIE (Mentors for International Experiences): MIE encourages domestic students in the K-State College of Engineering to participate in study abroad and assists them as they prepare for their international experience. In addition, MIE provides mentors for international, undergraduate students studying in the College of Engineering. More information is available at http://www.engg.ksu.edu/mie/.
  • Phi Kappa Phi Study and Internship Abroad Grants: Apply for one of fifty, $1000 grants to be awarded by National Phi Kappa Phi. Contact Jim Hohenbary, College of Arts and Sciences, jimlth@ksu.edu. Application deadline: February 18, 2008. More information available at http://www.phikappaphi.org.
  • German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD): DAAD is providing scholarships for study or research internships for one semester in Germany. Preference will be given to students whose projects or programs are underway at German universities. Students may participate in an established program of study or independent study. Applicaiton deadline is January 31, 2008. More information available at http://www.daad.org
