Application

New and Transfer students:

New and transfer multicultural students in engineering are eligible for scholarships upon their acceptance to K-State. Awards are based on a student's prior achievements in high school or previously attended college or university. Many scholarships are awarded to minority students. These awards are made possible through the generous contributions of MEP corporate sponsors and other donors who are supportive of MEP activities.

Information about the scholarships and how to apply for them can be found at the following link:

Continuing students:

Returning students continue to be supported by MEP scholarships and the Dean of Engineering Scholarships as long as they remain enrolled in the College of Engineering and meet the minimum GPA criteria of specific scholarships.

  • Students must complete the General Scholarship Application by February 1, each year. Go to www.ksu.edu/sfa
  • Only those who apply will be considered for engineering scholarships. This include students with renewable scholarships.

Deadlines

NOVEMBER 1: KSU Kassebaum, Presidential, Putnam, Honors, Foundation, Millennium, Leadership, Medallion, Achievement, and Activity Scholarship Deadline

FEBRUARY 1: Engineering Priority Deadline & University General Deadline

It is recommended that the scholarship application be submitted early to the Office of Student Financial Assistance and transcript to the College of Engineering. This will assure timely processing of student information. One application for both deadlines is all that is necessary at Kansas State University.

Students, parents, and the MEP staff are thankful that the scholarship sponsors believe in our program and students. Scholarship funds are necessary to provide the incentive for academic excellence.
