About Us

The Multicultural Engineering Program was initiated in 1977 to increase the pool of interested and qualified students from historically underrepresented groups pursuing engineering degrees. It also provides a foundational support system and programs that encourage students to find solutions to technical and social challenges.

Although we strive to attract students from historically underrepresented groups – namely African American, Hispanic American and Native American – our programs are open to all.
