Research Activities and Support

The ERGP office provides services to increase sponsored project funding for research, education and outreach for the college.

ERGP is committed to providing the following:

  • tools, resources and procedures for preaward services 
  • proposal preparation facilitation for tenure-track faculty and major grant program solicitations
  • resource support and encouragement for tenure-track and new faculty through monthly tenure-track faculty network meetings and availability of research administration staff to guide and direct faculty in the proposal preparation activities
  • in partnership with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs office, identify interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary programs for highly competitive funding opportunities conducive to both college and university areas of strength; build collaborative teams across campus, provide leadership to coordinate proposal preparation to include value-added planning and coordination
  • liaison services to university sponsored project offices, including the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and PreAwards Services
  • reports for research, education and outreach activities for the College of Engineering
  • promotion and support of on- and off-campus events for faculty through ORSP calendar of classes, workshops and training as well as other campus research-related events
  • overall resource support and encouragement for tenure-track and new faculty
