Phillips 66 Career Spotlight -- Monday, Feb. 12
Interested in learning more about working at Phillips 66? Phillips 66 hires civil, chemical, computer, electrical and mechanical engineering majors. Attend one of the following events to learn more:

  • Information table: 2:30-4 p.m., Fiedler Hall atrium
  • Presentation: 4:30-5:15 p.m., 1109 Engineering Hall

Students who attend the presentation will be entered to win a Beats Pill+. Following the presentation, join us for cookies and ice cream at the Career Spotlight Social. Please note, in order to receive cookies and ice cream, you will need to attend the presentation.


Fountain Wars fundraiser at Chipotle
Fountain Wars is hosting a fundraiser at Chipotle in Aggieville from 5-9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12 (TONIGHT). Customers need to mention the fundraiser for the team to earn credit. Thanks for your support!


Engineering Leadership and Innovation, ELI, program
The ELI program is now accepting applications for the 2018-19 school year. The program blends engineering curricula with leadership studies and business courses, practical leadership experience and industry mentoring to prepare students for potential leadership roles in corporations and industrial firms. Participants enter the two-year program in their junior year and receive a $3,000 scholarship per year. Application deadline is Friday, Feb. 16. Apply online now!


Engineering Diversity and Inclusion Town Hall
On Tuesday, Feb. 20., the College of Engineering will host a Diversity and Inclusion Town Hall. Whether you're looking to learn more, get involved, or meet spirited individuals, we encourage you to join us! This is a unique opportunity to come together and share experiences, branch out and try something new, and strengthen our engineering community.

Student accomplishments

Christine Laflin and Trevyn Sell, both ARE, have been awarded scholarships from the Kansas City area chapter of ASHRAE.

Team members from K-State's Cyber Defense Club brought home second-place honors in the Spring 2018 National ISEAGE Cyber Defense Competition.

Maria Fernanda De La Torre, CS, is one of five undergraduate researchers from K-State who will share their work with state lawmakers and the public Feb. 14 at Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol in Topeka.


Mortar Board Senior Honor Society
We are looking for involved K-State juniors who are invested in leadership, scholarship and service to join Mortar Board for the 2018-19 school year.

Eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Completion of at least 75 credit hours as of Jan. 1, 2018
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0
