  • Weixin Zhao and Terry Beck, MNE, both presented papers at the Joint Rail Conference 2013 in Knoxville, Tenn., in April.
  • The SAE Aero Design Team placed 3rd overall in the 2013 SAE Aero West Regular Class event in Van Nuys, Calif., with their airplane The Spirit of Manhattan. The competition involved 37 international teams and the K-State team placed 2nd out of all U.S. tea
  • Two ECE professors have received endowed appointments—Anil Pahwa was awarded the Logan-Fetterhoof electrical and computer engineering faculty of distinction chair, and Bala Natarajan was awarded the Clair N. Palmer and Sara M. Palmer electrical engineerin
  • Todd Easton, IMSE, was awarded a project with the Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Co. to perform research on various renewable energy technologies and to develop a framework for a pilot five-megawatt photovoltaic solar electric system.
