Employment Opportunities with the Center for Hazardous Substance Research

Grant Specialist    
Manages all financial aspects of the Center for Hazardous Substance Research (CHSR). Manages proposal development from beginning to end preparing budgets and related forms for a wide variety of proposal submissions for CHSR as well as for Engineering Extension and Agronomy. Advises the departments on issues regarding rules, regulations, laws and policies concerning the fiscal maintenance of grants and contracts. Audit and reconciles all departmental accounts with the university financial information system (FIS). Prepares financial statements and various funding reports for funding agencies, university controller’s office, principal investigators and departmental units. Works with the PreAward services department, Sponsored Projects Accounting, KSU Foundation, Purchasing, Facilities and other departments on campus on a daily basis.
