MANHATTAN -- The Kansas State University fountain wars competition team has traditionally finished high in yearly competition at the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers annual international meeting. The team's latest effort was no exception, with a second-place finish at the recent meeting in Dallas.
But 2012 was a little different for the Kansas State University team. Younger team members attended the meeting and participated in the competition for the first time.

Naiqian Zhang, BAE, has been named an ASABE Fellow for his outstanding and dedicated performance in educating engineering professionals, and developing new sensors and control applications for agricultural and biological systems.
M'hammad Lershaid won first place in the student paper competition during the ASABE Mid-Central meeting in St. Joseph, Mo., in March and will participate in the ASABE K.K. Barnes Student Paper Awards Competition during the ASABE Annual International Meeting to be held in Louisville, Ky., in August.
