Brian Schrotenboer and Marshal Frey place 2nd in Outstanding Student Chapter

Brian Schrotenboer, president KSU AGC Student Chapter, and Marshal Frey, both CNS, attended the National AGC Annual Conference in Hawaii to receive the 2nd-place award for Outstanding Student Chapter. They two gave a presentation on the CNS program at K-State as part of the awards luncheon.

A wildcat victory: Student organization designs, builds new pushup platform for Willie the Wildcat

MANHATTAN -- A time-honored tradition at Kansas State University football games has received an upgrade thanks to a College of Engineering student organization.

The student chapter of Associated General Contractors designed and constructed a new pushup platform for the university's athletic mascot, Willie the Wildcat. Following all points scored by the K-State football team, Willie does the same number of pushups as the team's total score, all while on a raised platform. The new Willie platform was unveiled at the Oct. 8 game against the University of Missouri.

Ray Buyle Named K-State 2010-2011 Advisor of the Year

Ray Buyle, ARE/CNS asst. professor, has been named the K-State 2010-2011 Advisor of the Year by the Office of Student Activities and Services for his involvement with the Student Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.

K-State AGC Chapter to win 2010 Outstanding Student Chapter Award

The K-State Student Chapter of Associated General Contractors in the ARE/CNS department has been recognized by the Associated General Contractors of America as one of the nation's top three collegiate construction associations and will receive the 2010 Outstanding Student Chapter Award from AGC of America.
