  • Elizabeth "Betsy" Voigt, senior in mechanical engineering, has won a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Germany. The Fulbright Scholarship supports an academic year abroad in more than 150 countries.

  • Emily Voigt, senior in chemical engineering, has received a National Science Foundation Research Fellowship, totaling nearly $120,000 over three years of graduate study.

  • Nicholas Long, senior in architectural engineering, is one of 80 students chosen nationwide to receive a Morris K. Udall Scholarship.

  • K-State's American Society of Automotive Engineering aero design team, with their entry "The Purple Diablo," placed second--and first among U.S. teams--at the 2008 Aero Design West international competition.
