Meili is a native of Beverly, Kan. She is a 1981 graduate of K-State with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a 1991 graduate of Wichita State University with a master’s of business administration. She is an engineering manager with Spirit Aerosystems Inc., Wichita.

Meili is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and received their 2004 Distinguished Service Award. She is also a member of Women in Engineering ProActive Network, a national not-for-profit organization that works to transform culture in engineering education to attract, retain and graduate women. She is a member of Presidents Club, a KSU Foundation philanthropic leadership organization for friends and alumni of K-State. Meili is a life member of the K-State Alumni Association, and is a member of the College of Engineering’s Seaton Society at the executive level.

“While attending K-State, I received several scholarships because of the generosity of those who came before me. I have enjoyed mentoring and encouraging young people to become engineers throughout my career. Through this scholarship, I want to add a new level of commitment by supporting college students at my alma mater.”
