Lenexa couple makes gift to K-State engineering

Rich and Debbie Pennick, Lenexa, Kan., have made a commitment of $50,000 to the College of Engineering at Kansas State University to establish the Rich and Debbie Pennick Construction Science Excellence Fund.

The fund was established with a $50,000 pledge to be paid over a period of five years. It will provide financial assistance to the Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science at K-State.

Rich Pennick is a native of Hutchinson, Kan. He is a 1979 graduate of K-State with a bachelor’s degree in construction science from the College of Engineering. He is a senior vice president at JE Dunn Construction Co. Debbie Pennick is a native of Hutchinson. She graduated from Wichita State University in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

The Pennicks are members of Presidents Club, a KSU Foundation philanthropic leadership organization for friends and alumni of K-State, and Seaton Society, an organization that recognizes outstanding alumni and friends of the College of Engineering.
