Site Description

Since 1997, the City of Des Moines, Iowa, has been awarded several EPA Brownfields grants. The Office of Economic Development for the City of Des Moines administers and implements these grants. Activities under these grants range from supporting the assessment of potential environmental contamination and assessment of issues related to environmental cleanup, financing, and redevelopment of specific properties to an overall GIS based inventory of potential redevelopment areas.
