Dr. Bhandari teaches courses in environmental engineering. He research focuses on the transport, environmental fate and removal of organic and inorganic pollutants associated with water and soil. Dr. Bhandari is a recipient of the National Science Foundation's CAREER Award, the KSTAR First Award, and Virginia Tech Civil Engineering's Outstanding Young Alumni Achievement Award. He serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Environmental Engineering and the Practice Periodical of Hazardous, Toxic & Radioactive Waste Management. At K-State, Dr. Bhandari also serves as the Director of KSU's Geoenvironmental Certificate Program, Coordinator of K-State's New-Faculty Institute and Faculty Advisor to KSU's Chapter of Engineers Without Borders.
